AS, Thx again for participating in the Spring Transitions show... This is a refreshing capture. Hoping you can triptych or stitch into a WIDE FORMAT 3:1 or 10x30 new image. Then head to the WFPPP group Discussion for Qs or share! GJ

Alan Socolik, Thanks for sharing your panos... For the group Art 4 Billboards we also seek WIDE FORMAT in order to feature.. Usually the format size is approx 21x7 so it fits on a roadside virtual billboard, horizontal or vertical.. This capture, Navajo Falls is not wide enough to feature unless you can creatively resize it.... Also keep in mind the sizing sought in this show... By taking the challenge you also gain new audience! You can create new content out of your captures by cropping, as well as creating triptych, and more. Admin, GJ glorijean

Artist's Description

These beautiful waterfalls are located on the Havasupai Indian Reservation, which is at the western end of the Grand Canyon. To reach these falls, you must either hike or ride a donkey 8 miles down to the village, then hike an additional 2 miles to get to the falls. It requires at least an overnight stay. I hiked 8 miles to visit the village of Supai in Arizona.
..... ..... ..... .....
The trailhead is located at Hualapai Hilltop (which is located at the end of BIA Road 18), where there is a large parking lot, a heli-pad, portable toilets, and the main office for the Havasupai. The trail can be traveled by foot, by horseback, or on a mule service the Havasupai offer. The mule service can also be purchased for luggage/packs only, which allows an easier hike and the ability to bring down more luxuries. The trail starts out at the hilltop, where it switch-backs down the side of the canyon for about 3/4 of a mile. This is by far the most difficult part of the trail, and is much...

About Alan Socolik

Alan Socolik

Alan and Marcia, Nevada residents, are avid photographers. Alan takes many photos while hiking around the area – you will see some of his dramatic landscape photos in our portfolio. Marcia looks at things from a different perspective – her photos are usually still life or photos of objects that she finds interesting or unique. Together, they present the eclectic display of photos which you see here. As you can see, Marcia is camera-shy - she would rather be behind the lens than in front of it.
