Description
Valley of Fire is a colorful, beautiful State Park in Nevada. It is more than 40,000 pristine acres of multi-colored rock displaying a varied array of red Aztec sandstone and gray and tan limestone rock formations, petroglyphs dating back more than 2000 years, and other items of geological interest. Open year round, the park has campsites and many hiking trails. The Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory and history of the park and the nearby region. I hike there frequently. This area is known as "Fire Wave".
