Artist's Description
This original photograph was taken in a Lower Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon on the Navajo reservation, near Page, Arizona. Lower Antelope Canyon is reached by descending a series of ladders until you reach the canyon floor. Some places are quite narrow.

The beautiful colors - orange, pink, red, and purple, and the swirling patterns in the sandstone, created by erosion caused by wind and water, are truly nature's artwork.

Alan and Marcia, Nevada residents, are avid photographers. Alan takes many photos while hiking around the area – you will see some of his dramatic landscape photos in our portfolio.
