Photo was taken The Narrows in Zion National Park, Utah, USA, The North Fork of the Virgin River, known as the "Zion Narrows" is the most legendary and popular canyon hike in Zion National Park. The Zion Narrows is the section of the Virgin River just upstream from the Temple of Sinawava. The majestic walls of the main canyon close in to form a tall and narrow canyon and the Virgin River flows around you. With beautiful flowing water and barely any direct sunlight reaching the bottom it creates a photographers' paradise of light and shadows. The hike is mostly in water that is less than knee-deep, but there is always the chance of stepping into a pool that is waist-deep or deeper. The hike is classified as easy to strenuous depending how far you decide to hike. Hiking is not permitted when the river is high from runoff or flash flooding. Hiking is available all year round although you would not hike when flash floods or thunderstorms are predicted for the area. Hiking is usually...
